Which Clubs Are Interested In Greenwood?

The Manchester Evening News’ Samuel Luckhurst reports that the Red Devils have received multiple offers for the potential sale of the English forward this summer. He adds that Lazio and Marseille are the clubs to have made competitive bids for the permanent signing of the 22-year-old.

The journalist notes that Lazio tried signing Greenwood last year as well and that “discussions are ongoing” with the Italian side along with Marseille, who recently appointed Roberto de Zerbi as their head coach.

It’s also stated that United’s officials are prioritizing finding a new club for their young forward and that there are no plans for him to rejoin first-team training when the pre-season campaign begins. With the 22-year-old being out of contract in 2025, the Red Devils are eager to get something from his permanent sale and allow him to start a new journey in his career.

Who Else Are United Looking To Offload?

United had already confirmed the exits of Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial after their contracts expired at the end of June in an effort to trim down their squad. The Red Devils are also reportedly looking to sell Jadon Sancho in the summer window and gain some decent money from his departure.

But it seems that the Red Devils are currently closest to resolving the future of Greenwood. The 22-year-old has no future in Ten Hag’s squad and is attracting a lot of attention after impressing on loan at Getafe last season. He was hailed for his “exemplary behavior” in the loan spell by the Spanish club’s head coach Jorge Bordalas and even won their Player of the Season award after having scored 10 goals and provided six assists in all competitions for them.
