Christopher Nkunku receiving instructions from manager Mauricio Pochettino before being subbed on

With the season coming to an end it’s time for some top FPL Gameweek 38 tips. This is a look at the top three Chelsea players to start as they host Bournemouth in their final outing of the campaign.

FPL Gameweek 38 Tips: Top 3 Chelsea Players to Select

Nicolas Jackson

The Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson is ending the season on a high note. He’s got five goal contributions in his past five fixtures. His home form is especially strong with three strikes and an assist coming in his last two appearances at Stamford Bridge.

Despite having a headed goal chalked off against Brighton, he had an xG of 0.6, coming off a 0.7 in the prior outing. He has been a real threat to every defence and should grab some points in gameweek 38.

Christopher Nkunku

Despite his limited minutes this campaign, Nkunku has shown a lethal cutting edge that this squad could have used before the winter break. He is a bit of a punt as a start isn’t guaranteed but Mykhailo Mudryk’s injury opens up an opportunity for him to get some game time.

Should he get the start there’s no doubt he will pull either a goal or assist out of thin air, as evidenced by his game-winner against the Seagulls that came in an appearance with just 0.3 xG.

Thiago Silva

The Blues have been pretty shoddy defensively this season but they have turned things around at Stamford Bridge. In their last three league games at their home ground, they have kept clean sheets. If this continues then Thiago Silva, playing in his last game for the side, could grab players a decent points haul.

In addition to some defensive points, there’s something in the air about his final game so him notching a goal from a set piece could come to fruition.

Who to Avoid

  • Noni Madueke (might be dropped to move Palmer to the right wing)
  • Malo Gusto (has a hard time seeing out full 90s)
