Top 3 Chelsea Players to Start for Double FPL Gameweek 37

Cole Palmer celebrates with Noni Madueke for setting up Nicolas Jackson's goal

With Chelsea playing twice in FPL gameweek 37 we will be taking a look at the top three players to add to your team. The Blues are in fine form after two London derby wins but will fave two tricky opponents in Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion.

FPL Gameweek 37 Tips: 3 Chelsea Players to Select

Cole Palmer

It will be a weird week when Cole Palmer is left off this list but that’s a problem for a future article. Palmer is one of the top scorers in the entire Premier League and is tied for sixth for most assists in the competition.

With an average of 5.5 shot creating actions per 90 and an expected goals + assists per 90 of 0.74 he’s almost guaranteed to score some points this week with not one but two matches on the horizon.

Noni Madueke

Noni Madueke is in fine form since making the right wing spot his own. He got a goal and assist against both West Ham and Aston Villa where he had over 40 carries, meaning he was more likely to create something during those matches.

The win over the Hammers was one of his strongest performances with an xAG of 1.1. On the season as a whole he also averages 4.63 shot creating actions per 90 with a non-nealty goals rate of 0.32 per 90.

Nicolas Jackson

Another in-form attacker, this time we have striker Nicolas Jackson. The Senegal international scored four times in his past five appearances and provided two assists to boot. He is 93rd percentile among strikers for npxG + xAGper 90.

With impressive advanced statistics and passing stats Jackson is a creative spark for the Blues who should come away with a strong return against a chaotic Brighton team who will play high and press consistently.

Who to Avoid

  • Reece James (unlikely to start)
  • Mykhailo Mudryk (no goal contributions in last five)
  • Djordje Petrovic (unlikely to keep a clean sheet away from home)
