Have Chelsea Made Bid For Willian Yet?
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chelsea have been holding talks with the 17-year-old’s representatives over a potential transfer since January and that is because they are very keen on bringing him to Europe in the near future. However, he also adds that only initial discussions have been taking place and that the Blues have not made an official bid for him yet.

Romano also states that Palmeiras are currently waiting for any team to make an actual offer for Willian and are focused on helping him keep developing his skills after having also sold another youngster Endrick to Real Madrid. Hence, Chelsea are still yet to make a decision on how much they are willing to spend for the Brazilian winger, someone who is called a player “rated among the best talents in South America” by the journalist.
Why Is Willian Nicknamed ‘Messinho’?
Willian has earned the nickname of ‘Messinho’ amid his rise at the Brazilian club, mostly because of his similar playing style to the iconic Lionel Messi. The teenage sensation is blessed with impressive pace, and dribbling ability and can be a real chaotic figure in the final third. The 17-year-old has even been hailed as “out of this world” because of his incredible talent and the Blues could reportedly face competition from clubs like Barcelona for his signing.

The Brazilian sensation is naturally a right-winger, who can also play in the left-wing and even as a number ten if required. He has made 14 appearances for Palemeiras senior team in his career, scoring three goals and has also scred three times in five matches for Brazil’s under-17 side. Chelsea are unlikely to get him for a cheap fee, and it remains to be seen if they make an official offer to snap him up anytime soon.
