Three Liverpool Players to Transfer in for FPL Gameweek 36: Including ‘Dangerous Dribbler’

Luis DIaz shaping up to shoot

With just three gameweeks remaining in Fantasy Premier League (FPL) this season, transfers and points are as important as ever. The deadline for this weekend is May 3 at 6:30 PM BST. These are the three best Liverpool players to transfer in for FPL Gameweek 36.

Three Best Liverpool Assets for FPL Gameweek 36

1. Luis Diaz – Our Gameweek 36 Pick

Luis Diaz has been Liverpool’s most consistent attacker recently, both in terms of minutes and performances. The Colombian has started every league match since Boxing Day 2023, whilst Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah were benched against West Ham.

Despite having just one return in the last four matches, he is very capable of hitting hot form. He returned three games in a row between GW30 and GW32, and five times between GW21 and GW25.

As a midfielder on FPL, Diaz scores five points for a goal rather than the four that a forward receives. The “dangerous dribbler” plays as an inside forward and has a solid eight goals this campaign (alongside seven assists). At £7.7 million, he is not too pricey either.

2. Trent Alexander-Arnold

With this weekend’s match against Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool defenders may not seem the right way to go. Furthermore, they play Aston Villa away and the high-performing Wolves in the final two matches of the season.

However, Trent Alexander-Arnold is a chance-creating machine – creating three including one “big chance” in the last match against West Ham. This makes the Englishman a real asset over players like Nunez and Cody Gakpo who aren’t guaranteed a start.

Spurs are vulnerable to a set-piece, conceding two against Arsenal, and Alexander-Arnold is on corners and free-kicks. We saw his exceptional quality two weeks ago with a great direct free-kick against Fulham.

At £8.4 million, this is a premium pick that may require redistribution of your funds. If you do have some spare money in the bank, and want a differential punt for Gameweek 36-38, the right-back could be a good pick.

3. Mohamed Salah

The Egyptian has been in mediocre form recently, returning once in the last six matches. However, Mohamed Salah is still one of the best players in the Premier League and a hard asset to bet against in FPL.

An average of 6.6 points per game proves this, ranking joint-second in the entire league. If Liverpool’s form does pick up, Salah will surely be a big part of this.

Penalties are a big part of FPL, and Salah is a proven taker. The forward is nailed on to take and, other than a rare occurrence, generally has an accurate, composed finish. Liverpool aren’t shy to receive penalties either: Jurgen Klopp’s side have been awarded nine in the league (joint-second) and the 31-year-old has taken six, scored five.

£13.5 million is a large sum, but many may be transferring out Erling Haaland this week with Alexander Isak a popular pick.
