As we prepare for another thrilling round of Champions League games, let’s take a look at which players are on the sidelines for each team.
Here are the latest injury updates ahead of the UCL semi-finals.
Champions League Semi-Finals: The Full Injury List
Real Madrid
Los Blancos were handed a major squad boost when Eder Militao made his long-awaited comeback from injury earlier this month. The Brazilian defender could be an option to start against Bayern Munich as he seems to have gotten sufficient playing time ahead of the Champions League semi-finals.
However, Real Madrid will travel to Allianz Arena without Thibaut Courtois and David Alaba, who are both out with long-term injuries. Ferland Mendy, who has stayed out of training with a muscular issue since El Clasico, is expected to make his return against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
Bayern Munich
The Bavarians have been hit with a host of injury problems since taking on Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-finals. Wingers Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane are facing a race against time to get fit for the first-leg match against Real Madrid. Kingsley Coman, on the other hand, is not expected to play again this season due to an adductor injury.

On Friday, Thomas Tuchel confirmed that Dayot Upamecano twisted his ankle in training but offered no timeline for his return. Bayern also have Bouna Sarr and Sacha Boey as their long-term absentees. The former has resumed individual training in recent weeks, but both players are expected to miss the upcoming Champions League tie.
Borussia Dortmund
The Black and Yellows were handed a massive injury blow when Sebastian Haller suffered a season-ending ankle injury earlier this month. The Ivorian striker’s absence, however, didn’t prevent Edin Terzic’s side from claiming an impressive victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals.
In addition to Haller, Ramy Bensebaini is set to miss the upcoming games against Paris Saint-Germain. According to Terzic, the defender is “unlikely” to play again this season due to a knee ligament injury. Donyell Malen, who is also out with a knee problem, remains a doubt despite his recent return to training.
Paris Saint-Germain
The return of Marquinhos has provided PSG with a major injury boost for the final weeks of the campaign. Luis Enrique has remained cautious with the captain’s workload, resting him in the 4-1 victory over Lorient on Wednesday. However, he is expected to lead the backline as usual against Borussia Dortmund.

PSG have three players on their injury list at the moment. Presnel Kimpembe has resumed individual training in recent days. However, according to L’Equipe, his return is planned for the next season. The same is true for Layvin Kurzawa, who has stayed out of action with a back problem since December. Sergio Rico has stepped up his recovery from a severe head injury but he is not expected to return to action in the upcoming Champions League tie.
