Chelsea have been riddled with inconsistency in Mauricio Pochettino’s first season in charge and have not had many reliable outlets when it comes to goals. That is why they keep being linked to forwards ahead of the summer transfer window and an interesting update has come regarding the future of Brentford star Ivan Toney.
Chelsea Discover Ivan Toney Transfer Price Situation
How Much Could Toney Cost In Summer Window?
Fabrizio Romano has decided to clarify the situation around the rumours that Brentford could be willing to sell the English forward for as low as £30 million to £40 million in the summer transfer window. The journalist indicates that the Bees’ transfer demands to sell him could be lower than what it was in the January window but that it is not going to be as low as what is currently being mentioned around.

Romano insists that at this moment, Brentford are adamant about demanding a higher figure than this rumoured fee if they’re to sell their star forward in the summer.
The journalist further adds that there are currently “no talks taking place” between the Bees or any other club and that Brentford’s valuation of Toney will demand how many clubs showcase a genuine interest in signing him. Chelsea for one, have been reported to have an interest in roping him in next season to add more goals to their forward line.
What Can Toney Bring To Chelsea?
Ever since his betting suspension period was lifted, Toney has been a regular for Thomas Frank’s side and trying his best to steer them clear from the Premier League relegation battle. He has scored four goals and provided an assist in 13 Premier League games so far this season and also recently scored his first goal for England.

The 28-year-old, hailed as “remarkable” last year, can bring some much-needed experience to the Chelsea frontline and also help those around him. Toney excels in holding up the ball and linking up with his fellow forwards. He is an efficient goal-scorer, having scored 36 goals and provided 10 assists in 81 Premier League appearances in his career.
He can add more goals and some balance to the Chelsea frontline if they end up signing him over other interested clubs in the summer.
