Five Potential Destinations Touted For Kimmich
According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, the defending Bundesliga champions are reportedly open to listening to offers for the midfielder. The emergence of Aleksander Pavlović, coupled with Bayern’s intentions to strengthen their midfield, has led to speculation regarding Kimmich’s future at the club.
Plettenberg wrote on X: “FC Bayern are indeed prepared to sell Kimmich this summer if a suitable offer comes in. Additionally, JK is not ruling out a move, and he is open to discussions with potential buyers!
“Still no concrete talks about a new contract beyond 2025. Only five top clubs are in consideration for Kimmich: Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid and FC Barcelona. Some of the mentioned five clubs have already contacted Kimmich! A move to Manchester United, Chelsea, and Paris is not an option for him.”

United were reportedly keen on signing the German international as a potential replacement for Casemiro if he leaves Old Trafford in the summer. According to Rob Dawson of ESPN, the Red Devils are targeting players who are in the final year of their contracts and aren’t likely to sign a new deal.
However, a deal for Kimmich seems unlikely as the Red Devils currently find themselves sixth in the Premier League table, nine points off Aston Villa who are fourth.
Will Joshua Kimmich Leave FC Bayern In The Summer?
There was a time when the player was deemed “unsellable” at Säbener Straße. However, recent reports have suggested that he is potentially dissatisfied with his current situation at the club. BILD also reported that the versatile midfielder was involved in a bust-up with Bayern assistant manager Zsolt Low following the 3-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen on February 10, 2024.
Thomas Tuchel later confirmed that an altercation did take place during the pair. He told reporters: “I know what was going on. This is not for the public. We are in a football locker room. This is a pretty normal occurrence if kept within limits. And it stayed within limits.”
