How Are Real Madrid Planning To Sign Davies?
The Athletic’s Mario Cortegana has reported that Real Madrid have struck an agreement with the Canadian full-back to join them in the future, be it in the summer of 2024 or 2025. It’s added that the Spanish heavyweights have been in talks with Davies’ entourage for quite some time and asked him not to extend his current contract with Bayern Munich.

The “unbelievable” defender’s current deal with the Bavarians expires at the end of June 2025 and Real Madrid used this to their advantage to agree to a deal with him.
Cortegana claims that Carlo Ancelotti’s side is now planning a few ways they could bring Davies to the Santiago Bernabeu, one of which involves signing him from Bayern in the summer window for a cut-price fee as they did with Toni Kroos back in 2014. Another possibility is allowing the defender to spend the 2024/25 season in Germany before signing him as a free agent next year, as they did with David Alaba last year.

Who Else Are Real Madrid Targeting?
The Bayern Munich defender is not the only player that Real Madrid have been looking to sign for the near future. It has been reported that Los Blancos have also struck an agreement to finally bring Kylian Mbappe to the club after he becomes a free agent in the summer following the expiry of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.

However, the potential signing of Davies can significantly boost Ancelotti’s squad’s backline, especially in the left-back area. The Canada international has gained a reputation for being an exciting full-back who is blessed with pace and dribbling ability, helping him be a big threat to opposition defenders.
He has 37 goal contributions (nine goals, 28 assists) in his career with Bayern, having also won the Bundesliga and UEFA Champions League titles with them, and his heroic rise at the German club have compelled Los Blancos to agree on a deal for him.
