The journalist further claims that the Blues have “always had an eye” on Sesko, but could face competition for his possible signing in the summer because several other clubs are also interested in him.

Romano states that Sesko is likely to be one of the main names to watch during the summer window because of widespread interest from different sides. The 20-year-old forward has scored 11 goals in all competitions for the German heavyweights this season, including seven in 20 Bundesliga matches.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side appears to be quite eager to sign a new striker in the summer window after the inconsistent Nicolas Jackson has only managed to score nine goals so far in this campaign. The Blues have been reported to have an interest in Brighton striker Evan Ferguson too, but could have to pay a major fee to sign another player from the fellow Premier League side.

There were links over a possible move for Napoli star Victor Osimhen in the winter window and even though that didn’t transpire, they might go back for him in the summer. Sesko, however, can be a cunning buy for Chelsea because he’s also proven himself as a clinical goal-scorer. The 20-year-old has scored 62 goals in his professional career so far and has been hailed for his “incredible” physical prowess. It’s now upon the Blues’ scouting team and staff to decide whether or not they want to invest in a budding young forward like Sesko to help add more goals to their squad next season.
