Which Club Is Close To Signing Pellistri?
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that La Liga club Granada are now close to signing the Uruguayan winger on loan from the Premier League heavyweights until the end of the campaign. He claims that an “agreement getting closer” between the two clubs and that talks are progressing quickly between them too.
The journalist also states that more contacts will happen between the respective representatives soon to get the loan deal over the line. Romano adds that Pellistri had given the “green light” or personal approval for the loan move 10 days ago. This could mark a return to the Spanish top flight for Pellistri, who spent the second half of the 2020/21 season and the entire 2021/22 campaign on loan at Deportivo Alaves and has experience playing in La Liga.
United’s Winter Transfer Activity
The Red Devils have been focused on issuing exits for players who they feel need more game-time elsewhere or those who are no longer in Erik ten Hag’s plans. Jadon Sancho, who had a falling out with the Dutch manager, has been loaned to Borussia Dortmund for the rest of the term and Hannibal Mejbri has been sent on loan to Sevilla. Alvaro Fernandez, the club’s young full-back, has been moved onto Benfica.

Now, it appears that United are focused on getting this loan move finalized. The 22-year-old has only made 14 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League side this season, producing one assist in all competitions. The Uruguayan winger, who was hailed as a “great” talent by Raphael Varane last year, will be hoping for regular playing time at Granada, who are toiling in the relegation zone in La Liga right now.
