Manchester United remain in dire straights heading into the second half of the season. Multiple Clubs Interested in Young Attacker
Monday brought another chapter in the transfer rumours which have swirled around Facundo Pellistri. Fabrizio Romano stated that “negotiations are starting” between the Red Devils and Dutch club PSV Eindhoven. The Eredivisie leaders are pursuing a loan for the young Uruguayan winger.
American outfit LA Galaxy are also interested in Pellistri. They “plan to submit a permanent transfer proposal” to United soon. These two different offers present drastically different roads that the club and player could walk. Having previously been loaned to La Liga side Alaves, the 22-year-old has not found it easy to gain playing time under Ten Hag.
Romano noted that there would be “More to follow in the next days.” Pellistri has featured in nine Premier League fixtures already this campaign. Arriving from Uruguay’s Club Atlético Peñarol over three years ago, the youngster has found more luck integrating into his national team than securing time on the pitch at Old Trafford.
The Italian journalist’s report highlights some of the difficulties plaguing the Red Devils in recent years. Described as a ‘Spectacular‘ player, Pellistri was slated to be a future starter for United. Now, it appears he will be allowed to decide if he wants to pursue an exit from Manchester, or stay and try to fight for his place.
