What Did Newcastle United Manager Eddie How Say About Hall?

The Magpies coach recently refused to clarify on if the club has made a decision on signing Hall permanently after his loan spell ends at the end of the 2023/24 season. “Lewis is a really talented player. He has huge technical qualities. He is creative and has very good final delivery. He’s a really good attacking full-back. There needs to be a little bit of understanding that he may take a little bit of time to get the defensive solidity that we’re looking for, but he’s a player of such high promise”

What Lies In Hall’s Future?

Fabrizio Romano has opened up about Hall’s situation at Newcastle and states “I can say” that Newcastle does not want to share this “criteria” that their manager hinted at when it comes to signing the left-back permanently.

However, he adds that “sources guarantee” that this criteria is actually not that difficult to reach and that the future of the teenager will become clearer in the next few months. Romano insists that he doesn’t believe Howe tried to be purposefully negative about the young defender but just told the truth about his situation.

Hall, who was hailed as “amazing” by ex-Chelsea teammate Callum Hudson-Odoi, has only been able to make six appearances in all competitions for the Magpies since joining them on loan in the summer and scored one goal, but will clearly need to do much better to earn more chances ahead of Dan Burn and convince the club to sign him permanently next summer.
