According to Romano – Sheikh Jassim presented a “fully cash bid” for United. His desire was to attain 100% ownership of the Premier League giants. The offer involved clearing all old debt for the Red Devils and starting them off debt-free under the new owner.

Romano has stated that the Qatari businessman and politician “had further discussions with Glazers family.” The Glazers rejected the bid, causing the Shekih’s team to inform them he was preparing to end his pursuit.

Romano’s final tweet brought the official news that Sheikh Jassim had officially “WITHDRAWN from the process.” According to the update, the businessman was willing to hand over nearly £5.8 billion to assume complete ownership of the Red Devils.
