The Italian manager made a number of changes, giving James Justin his first league start of the season. Club legend Jamie Vardy also repaid the faith shown by the manager by scoring the first goal of the game in only 21 seconds.

All departments displayed excellent standards against the Saints with Jaanik Vestergaard excelling in central defence. The fluidity and sharpness of the team was evident, finally meeting the high expectations of both manager and fans

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall showed glimpses of his potential and Wilfred Ndidi continued his resurgence, scoring another goal making him the Foxes’ joint top goal scorer of the season. In attack, Mavididi was excellent and Vardy showed why he shouldn’t be written off just yet.

Leicester City Recent Form and Tactics

The Midlands club currently sit in the second automatic promotion place, one point off the leaders Preston North End who remain unbeaten after six league games.  Having registered their best performance of the season, Maresca will once again ask for high standards against a Norwich team who have a 100% home record to date this season.

The Italian manager has continued to ask Ricardo Pereira to play the floating ‘defender’ who moves into midfield when Leicester are in attack, both adding an extra player and providing another attacking option if required. This proved fruitful against Southampton with Pereira seeing much of the ball during attacks.

He will face the dilemma of whether to bring back Wout Faes for another crucial game. Justin impressed and his performance will give the manager much food for thought. With a near-fit Conor Coady also now in contention, the defensive back line may be shuffled to ensure squad fitness is managed. Vardy, having almost played a full 90 minutes against the Saints may also be rested, with Kelechi Iheanacho once again asked to lead the front line.

Leicester City Injuries to Consider

Coady has returned to training following the international break and could be part of the squad. Midfielder Dennis Praet is set to miss approximately 10 weeks with a back injury.  New signing Tom Cannon is injured with no idea of a timeframe for his return. There are no other injury concerns.

Leicester City Predicted Lineup

Mads Hermansen, Ricardo Pereira, Wout Faes, Callum Doyle, Jaanik Vestergaard, Harry Winks, Cesare Casadei, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Abdul Fatawu, Kelechi Iheanacho, Yunus Akgun
