According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are now very close to securing a new deal for Martin Odegaard. The talks are ongoing between both parties to reach an agreement.

Gunners Receive Positive Feedback From Martin Odegaard’s Side
Romano revealed on his social media that the negotiations are advancing between the Gunners and the Norwegian superstar. The attacking midfielder is set to commit his long-term future to the club after the likes of William Saliba, Bukayo Saka, Aaron Ramsdale, and Gabriel Martinelli signed new deals to stay at the Emirates Stadium.
According to the Italian journalist, there has been a positive response from the player’s entourage regarding the extension talks, and the negotiations are going smoothly. The 24-year-old’s extension with the London-based side “seems like only a matter of time” according to Romano.

According to reports, the former Real Madrid man always wanted to stay with the three-time Premier League champions as he is “very happy at Arsenal”.
Odegaard Arsenal Career So Far
The former Real Sociedad star joined the North London side from Real Madrid in the summer of 2021 for a fee of £30 million plus add-ons. This has turned out to be an absolute bargain for the English side as he has contributed immensely towards the club’s rise towards the top.

The Norway international has been sensational for Mikel Arteta’s side recently. Odegaard is brilliant at picking up pockets of space, where he excels with his close control and ability to score or provide that killer pass to a teammate. He has been integral to the club’s midfield and was vital in their title challenge last season. The “exceptional” player has played 111 times for Arsenal, scoring 26 goals and providing 15 assists for his teammates.
