Guimaraes Close to New Deal
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the Magpies have made “significant progress” in negotiations with Guimaraes – over extending his contract with the club.

The journalist mentions that the final details still need to be agreed upon. However, Romano also reiterates that an agreement between the Brazilian midfielder and Newcastle is now on the verge of being completed.
The update from Romano will undoubtedly be like music to the ears of the Magpies faithful. Eddie Howe’s side had a solid summer transfer window, signing a new midfielder in Sandro Tonali and promising youngsters like Harvey Barnes and Lewis Hall.
