Antony Faces Shocking Violence Allegations
Brazillian Winger Accused of Domestic Abuse
According to the Brazilian outlet UOL, Antony is being investigated by a Sao Paulo court after his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin accused him of domestic violence. The outlet claims to have received evidence in the form of screenshots of alleged exchanges and videos that appear to reveal threats, physical attacks and intimidation from the winger. Antony denies all allegations in relation to the matter.

In an interview with Record TV, Cavallin gave shocking details of alleged attacks by the United winger.
She said: “Antony locked the door of the house and wouldn’t let me go out, and I had my finger open, all hurt. He broke my things, took my passport. His mother and stepfather even trapped him inside the football court, he had a football court inside his living room, surrounded by a fence.
He was upset, trying to get out of the court in any way, throwing a football at me, throwing a cell phone at me. He said he was going to kill me, that he was going to kill himself.”
In the interview, the Brazilian DJ claimed she was first attacked in June 2022 while she was pregnant with Antony’s child on holiday in their home country. She also explained how the 23-year-old made her feel trapped in the relationship.
Cavallin added: “He said that if I didn’t stay with him, I wouldn’t stay with anyone. That I was pregnant with his child. Either I would stay with him or me, him and our son would die. I told him I was pregnant, that he was scaring me, making my heart race. I was shaking with fear.”
She is understood to have reported the accusations to the police on May 20th of this year.

Antony’s Agent Responds to Allegations
The 23-year-old winger first responded to the allegations made against him through his representatives.
His agent told The United Stand: “We are silent because there is an investigative process at a police station in São Paulo, Brazil. Several people that she named as witnesses are being heard. The investigative process requires great caution to ascertain the facts as carefully as possible. Antony will not pronounce himself until justice has given his opinion about the case, which in our understanding is unfavourable to Gabriela.”
“What can be observed is that she always appears in the media when she knows that she can affect Antony. An example of that was the day he was called up for the Brazilian national team, and now on the day of his presentation. But the exposed facts are the same ones that are being treated in the investigative process.”

The United forward has also responded on social media claiming to be a “victim” of “false accusations”. In the post, he states that “verbal offences were made from both sides” of the relationship but that he was never physically aggressive to Cavallin. The former Ajax star hopes that the ongoing police investigations in Sao Paulo will vindicate him.
Antony is Withdrawn from Brazil Squad
Antony has been withdrawn from the Brazil squad ahead of the international break following the reports on Monday. The Brazil national team has released a statement to the press that reads: “Due to the facts that became public this Monday, involving striker Antony from Manchester United, and which need to be investigated, and in order to preserve the alleged victim, the player, the Brazilian team and the CBF, the entity informs that the athlete has been withdrawn from the Brazilian team.”
It remains to be seen how Manchester United will respond to the allegations made against their forward and whether he will still be included in their matchday squads in future weeks. The club is yet to issue a public response to the situation.
