Watch: DEADLINE DAY DESPERATION – What Manchester United and Erik ten Hag Need on Deadline Day
Bayindir’s transfer had been one of the most covered stories in Europe as the Red Devils’ usual support keeper, Henderson, looked set to leave the club. Despite Onana’s arguably shaky start, it is to be understood that the 25-year-old Turk is being brought in as relief, not competition.
Introducing Bayindir
Aside from his natural height, Bayindir possesses multiple qualities that have earned him titles such as “spectacular” in between the sticks.
Bayindir is hard-working and determined to get the best out of himself. No matter what role he occupies in a club, he makes sure that his performance in that role is the best it can be. The player will also note a close relationship with his loved ones motivates him to do good.
Other Erik Ten Hag Pursuits
With Bayindir signed, the Red Devils can now focus their efforts on other transfer targets. Most notably, Dutch coach Erik ten Hag wants to complete the purchase of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat. The deal could end up falling through but for now United are still trying to get the Moroccan to Manchester.
Other names are swirling around the rumour mill but for now, Ten Hag is content with the addition at goalkeeper. Bayindir could develop into a great star with proper Premier League exposure and brings relief to one position of a squad that are riddled head-to-toe with injuries.
