Sitting 14th in the Premier League table is not good enough for Nottingham Forest supporters. They desire a much safer Premier League campaign than hanging close to the bottom. The Tricky Trees, in order to prevent another brush with relegation, have brought in a player they believe can help them create goals. According to Fabrizio Romano, Forest will soon complete a deal for Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Italian Journalist Announces Hudson-Odoi Deal
Romano stated that the deal between Chelsea and Forest was “finally sealed.” This followed the two sides’ verbal agreement that had been reached days beforehand. Hudson-Odoi will complete his medicals on Friday and sign as the newest Tricky Trees player.

It is an interesting change of scenery for the “spectacular” 22-year-old. Once a regular in the Chelsea lineup, he does not appear to be in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for the club. A loan to Bayer Leverkusen provided some relief last year, but a permanent move suits all parties well.
Missing A Piece
All of Forest’s matches so far this season have been decided by one goal. Losses to Arsenal and Manchester United brought heartache when either a comeback fell short or an early lead was wasted. Likewise, a goal from former FC Basel player Zeki Amdouni saw them eliminated in the last minute of their EFL Cup tie.
Steve Cooper’s only bright spot in this campaign has been Chris Wood’s 89th-minute winner against Sheffield United which gave City Ground goers a rare taste of victory. The Hudson-Odoi addition has been made in an effort to increase attacking output and find a finishing touch the squad has been lacking.
Chelsea Transfer One Out
The Blues have made waves this summer with the money they have spent on their incoming transfers. Signings of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia cost hefty fees and the money spent on future players such as Deivid Washington and Andrey Santos adds up as well.
Now, for a rumoured fee of only £8 million, a player will be heading out of Stamford Bridge. The Englishman always seemed likely to go once Lavia and Caicedo arrived, as the London outfit continued to build squad depth above him.
Medicals Ready
The Italian journalist issued an update on the Hudson-Odoi situation. There was a “medical booked” for the attacker which would move the transfer into its latter stages. The deal was reportedly agreed overnight meaning it is only a matter of time before the Blues trim their squad by one.
