According to Phil Hay at The Athletic, Leeds United are set to part with Cody Drameh on loan as he is no longer a part of the club’s plans for the season ahead. He has previously been described as “underrated”, but never made any significant impact at Elland Road.
Leeds United to Part Ways with Cody Drameh on Loan
Why is Cody Drameh Not in the Plans
Drameh is no longer in Leeds United’s plans following the signing of Djed Spence on loan from Tottenham Hotspur. The youngster had an opportunity to impress Daniel Farke at the weekend in the clash against Ipswich Town, but made a significant mistake that led to conceding a goal before being unceremoniously yanked off at half-time. He came on as a substitute around twenty minutes in.

What Sort of Player is Cody Drameh
The full-back has always been on the more aggressive end of the spectrum, focusing on running at opposition defenders and creating overloads in his time at Luton Town. Whilst this is theoretically something that the Leeds manager could be looking for, he has that same profile from Luke Ayling and now Djed Spence. His defensive play is relatively weak and he can’t cover down the left, both of which are real issues for the wide man.
What This Means for Leeds United
As the Englishman wasn’t a significant part of the club’s plans anyway, losing him to another side won’t be a major issue. One potential problem is the fact the Whites won’t expect to recoup a fee for him, as he has one year left on his deal and the most significant interest is in a loan to Birmingham City. Outside the potential financial hit, there are no real issues that the Elland Road hierarchy can expect to face as a result of losing Drameh.
