Manchester United On Verge of Completing Altay Bayindir Signing

How Much United Will Pay For Bayindir?

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the Red Devils are on track to complete their latest deal and that the “Player is in UK since Friday”. The Fenerbahce man is in the UK and ready to complete the move.

Romano adds that United are now working on agreeing the final details of the deal with the Turkish side and will be ready to confirm the transfer after that is resolved. He also states that an official announcement over his acquisition is not going to happen imminently because there is still some work to be done to get it over the line.

The Red Devils are reportedly paying a fee of around £6 million to sign the goalkeeper to bolster Erik ten Hag’s squad. He is likely to be a direct replacement for Dean Henderson, who is reported to be closing in on a move to Crystal Palace before deadline day.

How Can Bayindir Fit In at Old Trafford?

The 25-year-old appears to be set to leave Fenerbahce after spending the last five years with them, in which he made 145 appearances in all competitions and managed to keep 44 clean sheets in those outings. That includes four appearances for the Turkish side this season, in which he managed two clean sheets.

Bayinidir is expected to be the secondary goalkeeper at Old Trafford and a backup option to their earlier summer signing, Andre Onana. The 6’6″ player is definitely well-built to protect his side’s goal and is also a reliable shot-stopper. Even though he might not get regular game-time under Ten Hag, a move to a club like Manchester United must be a dream for the Turkey international, who will hope that the deal will be confirmed soon.
