Luke Shaw Expected to Be Out for a Considerable Period
Ornstein reported that the England international has sustained a muscle problem, and the initial feeling is he will be out of action for a considerable amount of time. The tests and scans are ongoing for the 28-year-old, and the fans will be hoping that the defender is sidelined only for a matter of weeks and not for months.

It is not only a blow for the Reds but also for the England national team. The Three Lions will play against Ukraine in a Euro 2024 Qualifier fixture during the international break. Shaw is the third defensive player for England who will miss out with an injury, with John Stones and Tyrone Mings already ruled out, according to reports.

Manchester United’s Other Injury Woes
The Old Trafford-based side have had a difficult start to the season on the injury front. Big-money signing Rasmus Hojlund is yet to make his debut for the club as he is battling a back issue that will keep him out until after the international break. Mason Mount, signed from Chelsea this summer, has also suffered an injury setback.

However, the biggest issue that the three-time Champions League winners will face is at the left full-back spot. The Premier League giants are set to face Arsenal before the international break, and they will have to do so without a natural left-back in the squad. Tyrell Malacia missed the pre-season with an injury sustained last season – and is not expected to make a return any time soon.
United Looking For a Replacement for Luke Shaw
Luckhurst has provided further updates on how the Manchester club are planning to cope with their latest injury crisis. After being left without a senior left-sided full-back for the foreseeable future, the 20-time Premier League champions are in the market for a solution. The English journalist reported that Ten Hag is looking for a player as a short-term fix at left-back.
