How Tottenham Have Lined Up Recently

Ange Postecoglou’s signature 4-3-3 looked slightly different in his first match against Brentford. James Maddison played further forward, putting more pressure on defensive midfielders Yves Bissouma and Oliver Skipp to win the ball back in a 4-2-3-1 setup. Considering the Englishman won the Man of the Match award after grabbing two assists, it would make sense for him to start in the same position.

In terms of the attack, Son Heung-min, Richarlison, and Dejan Kulusevski are probable starters. However, they will each need to find more open space than last weekend if they want to help Spurs to their first win of the season.

As for the backline, Destiny Udogie, and Micky van de Ven will likely play together again after they performed well in their Premier League debuts. For the right back position, Pedro Porro scored against the Red Devils the last time they played in North London and provides more reliable crosses than Emerson Royal, so he could get the nod to start.
