Forest’s Pursuit Takes Shape
As per the transfer insider, Steve Cooper’s side are intent on making a top signing to bolster their defensive options. Renan Lodi, who played as the left-back last year, has already made the move to Ligue 1 club Marseille this summer.
Negotiations are going on between the club and the Gunners to reach an agreement that aligns with their respective objectives. As per Romano, talks are also ongoing on the player’s side over personal terms.
Competitive Interest on All Fronts
The interest surrounding the 23-year-old is not limited to Nottingham Forest alone. Bundesliga clubs Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg have also expressed interest in the Portuguese player. This competitive landscape underscores Tavares’ potential and versatility as a sought-after asset in the transfer market.

However, he found himself falling out of favour with Mikel Arteta thanks to performances from Kieran Tierney and the signing of Oleksandr Zinchenko last year. This ended with him being an “outcast” and loaned to Marseille for the 2022/23 season.
For Nuno Tavares, this transfer development represents an opportunity to embark on a new journey, while for Nottingham Forest, it signifies a concerted effort to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
