The former Leicester City captain, currently plays for Ligue 1 side OGC Nice and reportedly earns 65k per week, would bring a wealth of experience to Stamford Bridge having won the Premier League and FA Cup while playing for Leicester City.
The Blues also sold Edouard Mendy earlier this summer and sent young goalkeeper Gabriel Slolina on loan to Belgian side KAS Eupen until the end of the season, meaning the club needs to strengthen their goalkeeping department.

The Stamford Bridge club are also reportedly close to reaching an agreement for the signing of Romeo Lavia, which would further strengthen the Chelsea squad.
