Chelsea Officially Announce Robert Sanchez Transfer
Chelsea Confirm Sanchez Transfer Details
The Blues have confirmed that Sanchez has signed a seven-year contract with them, meaning he will be contracted with the club until 2030. He is set to join up with the squad following their pre-season tour of the USA.

Speaking on the transfer, Chelsea’s co-sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart said: “We’re very pleased to welcome Robert to Chelsea, and he adds further quality to our goalkeeping unit. Robert has repeatedly proved himself in the Premier League and has been capped by his country. We are excited to watch him work with Mauricio and his coaching team during the season ahead.”
The London heavyweights have signed Sanchez after talking about the deal during their reported talks to sign Moises Caicedo. He is likely to be the replacement for Edouard Mendy, who was sold earlier this summer. This comes after the Spaniard was left behind from the Seagulls’ pre-season tour of the USA.
Fabrizio Romano has already stated that the Blues have paid a fee of around £25 million (including add-ons) for the new goalkeeper after holding discussions with Brighton for some time through the summer transfer window.

What Is Next for Chelsea?
The Blues have had a busy summer transfer window, in which they sold over 10 first-team players and attracted some new recruits. It is being reported that they remain locked in talks with Brighton to try and find an agreement for the signing of Caicedo, who is rumoured to be priced at a whopping £100 million.

Chelsea will be glad to have at least signed one player from the Seagulls in Sanchez, who was hailed as “fantastic” by Graham Potter a few years ago. The 25-year-old joins them after having made 90 appearances for Brighton, in which he kept 29 clean sheets.
