Van der Kraan claims that Erik ten Hag’s side are considering Kudus as a target to improve their depth in midfield. It’s added that while he in’t their priority, they could go in for him if unable to secure the signing of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat.
It’s stated that the Ghana international has already told Ajax that he wants to leave and join a prominent Premier League club. Despite the links to Chelsea, Van der Kraan claims: “As soon as Erik ten Hag knocks on the door, he (Kudus) will go (to United).” This is a huge claim that seems to indicate that the Dutchman could soon complete the signing of the versatile midfielder if he desires and deal a blow to the London side.
What Else Does United Have Planned?
For it, it is being reported that United are pushing to sign Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund as they desperately look for someone to solve their goal-scoring issues. They have reportedly agreed personal terms with the 20-year-old Danish international but are now trying to find an agreement on the transfer fee with the Italian club.

They are likely to move on to other targets only after solving this situation. Even though Kudus is now their primary target, it’ll be interesting to see if they make a move for him after these claims. The 22-year-old is a highly versatile player who can play in midfield, as well as in the wide areas and as a centre-forward if needed. Kudus, who was praised for his ‘incredible strike’ by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp after his goal at Anfield in the Champions League clash against them, is rumoured to be valued at £40 million following his 25 goal contributions (18 goals, seven assists) for the Dutch club last season.
