Manchester United’s quest to secure the transfer of Rasmus Hojlund is continuing to escalate, as reports from Fabrizio Romano suggest. With the Danish international having already “agreed terms” with the English side, the two clubs are now said by TalkSport to be in “advanced talks” over the move.

Rasmus Hojlund to Manchester United Transfer Saga Continues to Heat Up
Manchester United Make Verbal Offer to Atalanta
According to Romano, United have made an opening verbal offer for Hojlund, including a £43 million fixed fee plus an additional £8.5 million in add-ons. This offer is significant for two main reasons. First, it is below the £60 million price tag that Atalanta have placed on the striker. Although the forward is keen to make the move and play for Erik ten Hag, the Serie A team could hold out on selling him until their financial desires are met.

Secondly, reliable journalist Chris Wheeler claims that the 3rd-place finishers will not pay more than £60 million for the young Dane. If this is true, a significant gap still needs to be closed for the player to be on his way out of Italy.
However, Jamie Jackson of the Guardian reported on Thursday morning that United are now “closing in” on Hojlund’s signature.
It also appears that La Dea have potentially found a replacement already in Almeria forward El Bilal Toure. If they succeed in bringing him over from La Liga, then perhaps they will be more lenient when it comes to shipping off Hojlund.

The Missing Piece of the Puzzle
It’s no secret how massive a signing this could be, with the striker being described by journalist Alfredo Pedulla as “perfect” for Erik ten Hag. If Hojlund’s potential is unlocked and he can regularly be called upon to score goals, fans of the Manchester side could see their team battle their in-town rivals for the Premier League title again.
