According to Alfredo Pedulla, Manchester United have a “total agreement” with Rasmus Hojlund and Sofyan Amrabat. Completing these signings would be a significant leap towards completing Erik ten Hag’s lineup, with an estimated outlay of over £86 million between the striker and the Moroccan midfielder.
Manchester United Reach Agreements with Sofyan Amrabat and Rasmus Hojlund
Rasmus Hojlund Agrees Terms with Manchester United
The Red Devils have been lacking a dedicated number nine since Cristiano Ronaldo left the club in a dramatic furore during the winter break last season. Signing the young Dane Rasmus Hojlund would be the perfect response to this, with the striker having an excellent scoring record in Serie A thus far.
Pedulla’s report indicates that the forward has signed personal terms with the Old Trafford outfit, but an agreement with Atalanta is still yet to come. Due to the forward’s integral role in the squad, the Italian side isn’t likely to let Hojlund go for a low fee.

Sofyan Amrabat Agrees Personal Terms
In addition to securing an agreement with Rasmus Hojlund, Sofyan Amrabat has come to an agreement with the Old Trafford hierarchy over a move. The Red Devils were encouraged to move quickly by the Moroccan’s agent, who informed the club of Saudi interest in his player’s services. By acting quickly and giving the midfielder what he needs, a potential move to the Middle East has seemingly been fended off.
Amrabat’s breakout performance came in the World Cup in Qatar. As part of an incredibly effective midfield, he held an incredibly strong defensive line and was a fundamental part of launching counter-attacks that saw his country reach the semi-finals, only to lose out to France. He’ll look to add to his list of admirers by bringing his incredible creativity to the Old Trafford faithful.

What Does This Mean for Other Manchester United Transfers?
After completing these deals, it’s easy to think that Erik ten Hag’s squad might be completed for the season ahead. The signing of Andre Onana provided a new number one, and a world-class one at that. Combine that with a new striker to put away chances, Mason Mount to act as a creative presence and Amrabat as a hard-working number eight, there is very little left to do to complete the squad. Loyal United fans can be happy with the side for the first time in a while.
One particular transfer that may be completely ruled out if both of these deals are completed is the potential move for Harry Kane. Tottenham Hotspurs’ decision to sell Kane if he doesn’t renew his contract may have initially renewed interest, but with such a large outlay between these two signings, it may be impossible to find room within FFP regulations to secure the English striker’s signature too. In spite of Carrington having a wealth of talent, England’s top scorer might be something of a missed opportunity.
