In his latest YouTube update, Fabrizio Romano has revealed an intriguing development in Chelsea’s transfer business this summer. He indicated that Mohammed Kudus to Chelsea is firmly a possibility.
Both Chelsea and Brighton are said to be “well-informed” about his situation, while Arsenal have also expressed interest in the player in the past. However, as of now, no formal bids have been submitted by any of the clubs.

Mohammed Kudus Emerges as a Possible Target for Chelsea
Blues Looking to Add Ajax Star
While Chelsea’s primary focus remains on securing the services of Moises Caicedo, it appears that they are also keeping a keen eye on the situation of Ajax star, Mohammed Kudus.
Romano confirmed Chelsea are “informed on the Kudus situation”, suggesting that contact has been made.

Notably, Arsenal also made initial inquiries about Mohammed Kudus. This was two weeks ago but they did not proceed with a formal bid.
The Gunners, like Chelsea, seem to be in the know about the player’s situation but have not taken concrete steps towards securing his signature. Brighton are said to be in a similar spot despite losing some pace in the deal.

Chelsea Remain Focused on Caicedo Despite Kudus Interest
Romano, despite the heavy links, went on to reestablish that Chelsea’s “focus remains on Caicedo”, and no official bid has been tabled for Kudus at this stage.
Chelsea “want to get Caicedo deal done”, with negotiations ongoing to finalise the deal for the highly-rated Ecuadorian midfielder.
After resolving the Caicedo situation, the Blues’ plans regarding Mohammed Kudus may become clearer. Romano emphasized, “After Caicedo, we will understand more on this deal.”
It seems that Chelsea is taking a cautious approach. They seem to be exploring the situation surrounding the Ghanaian midfielder whilst also considering other targets before making any decisive moves.
Chelsea, while not making any formal approaches of their own yet, are seemingly well aware of the other clubs circling.
Romano emphasised that “there is an interest [from Chelsea] in terms of calling people close to him to understand the situation”.
