Nottingham Forest have their eyes on two Manchester United players ahead of the 2023/24 season. According to Fabrizio Romano, the player advancing towards a sale is forward Anthony Elanga as Forest look set to complete the deal.

Forest Set to Improve Their Attack?
At 21, Elanga is likely seeing a move to Nottingham Forest as an opportunity to continue his growth as a footballer. The Sweden international only played 702 total minutes across all competitions during the 2022/23 season for the Red Devils.
Elanga will probably receive the game time he desires while remaining in the Premier League should his move to Forest go through. In 55 appearances for the Manchester United first team, Elanga has scored four goals and registered four assists.
As for when the transfer will cross the finish line, Romano reports that Elanga to Nottingham Forest will be completed by the end of the week. A fee close to £15 million has been agreed between the two clubs while the player himself has given the “green light”, resulting in Romano giving his coveted “here we go” on the move.

Nottingham Forest Eyeing Another Manchester United Player
Elanga isn’t the only player Forest wants to grab from Old Trafford: they are also linked with a potential move for goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
Romano reports that a move for the shot-stopper would be different to that for Elanga. Nottingham Forest would like to have the 26-year-old on a loan deal rather than pursue a permanent agreement.
Watch: How Manchester United Could Line Up Next Season
As it seems that the Elanga transfer will get done, the City Ground side will now also push for Henderson. The England international would return to Forest after spending last season there on loan.
With the arrival of Andre Onana, Henderson cannot expect to be the first choice between the sticks at Old Trafford. Unless he is content with being a backup, he will need to search elsewhere to be a regular starter.
