Romano confirms that Steve Cooper’s team have now made an official bid to once again sign Henderson on a loan deal for the 2023/24 campaign. Not just that, but it’s also stated that the Reds have tabled an offer to sign Anthony Elanga on a permanent basis.
This comes amid reports that the Swedish winger is reportedly attracting interest from Everton over a transfer too. Romano hasn’t revealed the exact figures of the offers but stated that Forest wants the two deals done after being close to signing Ola Aina on a free transfer. Both players are currently involved in pre-season with the Red Devils in the USA.
The move could cost a combined £45 million with a rumoured fee of £30 million for the goalkeeper while his teammate is likely going to cost £15 million

Ten Hag’s squad has been quite proactive in the transfer market so far this summer, roping in Mason Mount from Chelsea and Andre Onana from Inter Milan. The arrival of the Cameroonian goalkeeper means that Henderson can’t be a regular no.1 at Old Trafford and will reportedly be sold to generate some funds for the team.

Elanga failed to impress under the Dutch manager last season, not being able to score a goal and only registering two assists in 26 appearances. That is why the Red Devils are reportedly open to selling him for just £15 million. It remains to be seen how United respond to the Reds’ double bids and if they sell both their youth academy graduates to them.
