Romano adds that the Korean centre-back has completed his medical tests with the Bavarians and the clubs need to sign all the documents, to make the deal official. Romano reports that Napoli will receive around £42.5 million, with an official announcement due in the coming days.

What United Are Set to Miss Out On

The 26-year-old centre-back impressed a lot of fans with his heroics for Napoli in Serie A last season, helping them concede the fewest goals for any team in the league as they clinched the Scudetto title. He made 35 appearances for the Italian side, helping them keep 16 clean sheets with his impressive performances.

Min-jae is a physical centre-back who refuses to be bullied by forwards, while he is also quick and capable of covering long distances to make crucial challenges. He looks set to form a brilliant defensive partnership with Matthijs de Ligt at Bayern Munich and help them compete for all available trophies next season. Man United look to be missing out on a promising defender who was hailed as an ‘extraordinary talent’ by their ex-player Park Ji-Sung last season.
