Chelsea are close to roping in Santos forward Angelo Gabriel, confirms Fabrizio Romano. The Blues are set to add the 18-year-old to keep improving their future core after having signed another Brazilian youngster in Andrey Santos earlier this year too.

Details of Move
The London giants have shown an eagerness to sign a number of promising young players ever since the new owners took over and they also have an ambitious future plan to keep competing at a high level for many years to come.

Romano states that Angelo is set to travel to England this week to complete a move to Stamford Bridge. It’s added that the teenager will be undergoing all the necessary medical tests with them before signing a six-year contract with Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
According to the reports, Chelsea have finalized all documents with Santos to complete this deal as soon as possible and they have agreed to pay a fee of around £12.8 million to the Brazilian club for the young forward. As it stands, it appears that this deal could be finalized by the end of the week.
Who is Angelo Gabriel?
The Premier League giants appear to have tapped into the Brazilian football market and unearthed another promising player in the form of Angelo. The 18-year-old is a versatile player who can operate across almost anywhere in the frontline, but normally thrives in the right-wing position.

He has already made 129 appearances for Santos at a young age, scoring five goals and providing 10 assists in all competitions despite mainly operating as a substitute. He is known for his impressive dribbling ability and tendency to pop up with something special in the final third, which has earned him a lot of attention from major clubs. The teenager has been described as a ‘special talent’ and it remains to be seen if he can soar at Stamford Bridge upon completing his move.
