Uncertain Future for Mount
The update from Steinberg on the protracted transfer of Mount has revealed Bayern Munich are looking to hijack the Red Devils’ move for the England international. Steinberg states the Bundesliga giants will attempt to capitalise on United’s inability to agree a fee with Chelsea for the midfielder. The Guardian mention that Thomas Tuchel is a big admirer of the abilities of Mount from his days coaching the midfielder at Chelsea. The Englishman performed impressively under the German coach and was instrumental in helping the Stamford Bridge club win the Champions League in 2021.

Mason Mount‘s future at Chelsea has become uncertain in recent months, which has led the England international to want to leave Stamford Bridge, with Mount having no intention to sign a new deal at Chelsea. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Chelsea midfielder has agreed personal terms with Erik ten Hag’s team. He has previously been described as “unbelievable,” and was a key component of Chelsea’s success under Tuchel. The 24-year-old joined the Stamford Bridge club in 2005 and has worked his way through the various age groups before making his debut for the club on August 11, 2019.

The South Korean international is said to be worth around £51 million, with Il Mattino stating that personal terms have been agreed with Min-jae and United. Bayern Munich have been rumoured to have offered the Napoli defender, more favourable personal terms.
