Romano adds that Spurs have scheduled talks with Tapsoba over a summer move, which will take place over the next few days. They seem to be intent on signing the Bundesliga defender after watching his growth at Leverkusen over the last few years.
It’s also stated that the Lilywhites have also included Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo in their list of centre-back targets after realizing that he wants to leave their London rivals. For the time being, however, it’s claimed that the German side’s centre-back is their priority target and they want to accelerate the deal by having talks with the player and his club soon.
How Can Tapsoba Improve Tottenham?
The Burkina Faso international was part of the Leverkusen side that went all the way to the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League last season, as he helped them keep three clean sheets in eight appearances and contributed two goals himself as well.

Tapsoba played in 33 of his side’s 34 league games last season and helped them keep nine clean sheets. The 24-year-old is known for being a fast centre-back and also very physical, which should help him be a pretty good fit for the Premier League as well. The Bundesliga’s own website has hailed him as ‘frightening’ in the past, which shows how highly rated he is in Germany. For the time being, it remains to be seen if Tottenham can secure the signing of their number one centre-back target and add more steel to their backline before the start of next season.
