What Is Going to Be Liverpool’s Next Step for the Mac Allister Move?
Liverpool have already confirmed that they will be letting go of multiple midfielders in the summer window, with James Milner leaving after his contract expires and being reported to be a Brighton target. Arthur Melo will also return to Juventus after a failed loan move.

Romano states that Liverpool are prioritizing the finalizing of all agreements with Mac Allister himself, with personal terms almost agreed between the two parties.
Liverpool are also ready to pay his current release clause at Brighton, which is lower than the rumoured price of £70 million. But this will only be done once the Argentine midfielder fully green-lights the deal if and when everything goes according to plan with the personal agreement.
Mac Allister Could Be Rewarded for Prolific Season With Big-Money Move
The Brighton star has arguably been the breakout player of the 2022/23 Premier League season and played at a very high level, both for club and country. Mac Allister was a part of Argentina’s World Cup-winning squad and impressed in the final against France too.

He has also maintained a rich vein of form at the club level at Brighton, pushing their ambitious charge for a finish in a European place and ultimately inspiring them to qualify for the UEFA Europa League next season. Mac Allister – who was hailed as ‘fantastic’ by pundit Jay Bothroyd earlier this season – scored 12 goals and provided three assists in 40 appearances for the Seagulls during the 2022/23 season.
