Manchester United and Newcastle United have warned their competition that they will pay Kim Min-jae’s £43.5 million release clause this summer, according to Bruno Andrade. This means that Kim will have the final say as to where he ends up this summer, and Andrade is suggesting that it is Newcastle who have the edge at this moment in time.

Kim, fittingly nicknamed “The Monster”, would represent a smart piece of business for either the Magpies or the Red Devils.

Standing at 6’4″ tall with an imposing physique, Kim provides a commanding presence in the defence and would certainly be able to adapt to the physicality of the Premier League. He is renowned for his exceptional aerial prowess and dominates the box with his towering headers and fearless challenges.

Equally skilled in his reading of the game and his technicality, Kim has a reputation as one of Asian football’s most talented players, and at 26 years of age he still has plenty of time left at the top of the game – indeed, Thiago Silva, 12 years Kim’s senior, is still playing football in one of the world’s most competitive leagues.
