Despite the plethora of unfortunate results that have occurred, there is one bit of good news fans of the Rossoneri can be happy about: Their stud Left Winger Rafael Leao will stay with the club.

In a tweet by the transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, he states that the “final details will be completed in some days”. Despite the vagueness of the date, we do know that the 23-year-old has already signed a deal that keeps him in Italy until June 2028.

Romano also featured on the House of Champions podcast, stating that the young phenom’s decision to stay is “like a top signing” considering that his old contract was set to run out in the summer of 2024. The Italian reporter also noted that the release clause within Rafael’s new contract has increased to €175m: a figure that is out of budget for numerous teams that might want to persuade him to jump ship.
The Significance of the Signature
Leading in goals and assists, the Portuguese international has established himself as the talisman for the Rossoneri. Considering they only paid €29.50m in 2019, he has been an instrumental signing. However, the talented youngster will now have to step up to become a reliable leader for the team.

AC Milan have barely scored more goals than 7th-place Atalanta and conceded more than 10th-place Torino. Although the attacker probably won’t help too much on the defensive front, he will now be tasked with leading an attack that needs to improve if the club is to be more competitive on the Italian and European fronts.
