Speaking about his dream destination for the near future, Orban said: “The Premier League is my ultimate dream. Man United, Liverpool or Man City.” It appears that Orban is sending a message to these clubs and urging them to make a move for him soon. The Red Devils are reported to have been following the situation of Orban, but are not sure if they’ll make a move anytime soon.

While he confirmed his love for these clubs, the Nigerian forward made it all too clear about one Premier League club he doesn’t want to join – which is Arsenal – despite seeing them fight hard in the title race this season. Orban added: “I don’t really like Arsenal that much – it’s like they don’t want to win titles. I want to go somewhere where they win titles.”

Who is Gift Orban?

Gift Orban was discovered by the Norwegian club Stabaek during a scouting mission in Nigeria, where he used to play for Bison FC. He started playing for Stabaek’s senior team in 2022 and made a great impact with them, scoring 19 goals and providing seven assists for them. His impressive performances caught the attention of Gent, who decided to sign him in the 2023 January transfer window.

The 20-year-old has been on fire for the Belgian club over the last few months, having scored 19 goals and providing two assists in just 19 appearances for them so far. The Nigerian centre-forward – hailed as a “phenomenon” by Gent manager Hein Vanhaezebrouck – is explosive and quick with his movement while blessed with impressive finishing ability. He is developing into a clinical goal-scorer at a rapid pace, and as long as Orban keeps it up, he could be snapped up by a big club soon.
