Barcelona fans could be well accustomed to the French defender, as he used to play for them before leaving them in 2021 after an uneventful stint. He’s been playing for Ligue 1 club Nice ever since and has been impressing in the French league, catching the eye of many prominent sides.

Romano adds that the Red Devils sent a scout to watch Todibo in Nice’s recent game against Rennes, which they won 2-1, with Todibo impressing. It’s also stated that Newcastle United and Liverpool had their scouts watching the game, with both the Premier League sides eyeing a potential summer move for the Frenchman.

It’s further claimed by Romano that the centre-back could get a move to a top European club in the summer after his impressive performances this season. His price is claimed to be around £39 million, which could make it an enticing prospect for any club to sign him.

Todibo could be gaining attraction from the Premier League due to the impressive work of William Saliba for Arsenal this season, as he produced a string of brilliant performances before his unfortunate injury. The 21-year-old Nice centre-back is quick and commanding at the back, being someone who isn’t shy from laying into aggressive challenges and using his physicality to bully forwards. A few years ago, Germany World Cup winner Lothar Matthaus claimed that Todibo was “the best centre-back I’ve seen in a long time” – which is high enough praise to show the ability this young defender possesses.
