Inter Milan are interested in a summer move to sign Club Brugge winger Tajon Buchanan, claims Fabrizio Romano. The 24-year-old has been a regular for the Canada Men’s National Team in recent years and impressed at the Qatar World Cup as well.

Buchanan in Inter’s Summer Transfer List
The Canadian winger joined Brugge in 2021 after impressing in Major League Soccer (MLS) with the New England Revolution. He scored 10 goals and provided as many assists in 57 appearances for the USA side before being signed by the Belgian club a few years ago.

Romano states that Buchanan has managed to find himself in the summer transfer list of Inter, who are going to play in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals this season and are en route to win the Coppa Italia trophy too. However, the Italian club are yet to hold talks with Brugge over a possible move – even though their interest remains concrete – Romano also adds. The 24-year-old will probably have to finish his season strongly with the Belgian heavyweights to pique Inter’s interest and convince them to make a move for him.
How Can Buchanan Fit In at Inter Milan?
Buchanan has been making a bright impression since his impressive period in the MLS, when he was once praised for his ‘dangerous’ quality on counter-attacks. He was able to make enough of an impression in the USA to convince Brugge to sign him in 2021. He’s also evolved into a regular for them this season, having made 30 appearances for them in which he’s scored one goal and provided six assists.
The 24-year-old even managed to get an assist in Brugge’s 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League group stages earlier this season. He’s impressed for the Canada national team in recent years, especially at the recent World Cup. He played in all three games for Canada and provided an assist in the group stages. Buchanan has scored four strikes and provided seven assists in 31 appearances for Canada so far.

The winger will mostly have to learn to operate as a wing-back to be able to make it at Inter, who generally play a 3-5-2 formation that calls upon their wide players to provide both defensively and offensively. Buchanan has proven himself as a hard-working winger in recent years, so he should be able to fit into the Serie A giant’s system. For now, however, it remains to be seen if they can upgrade their interest to push for his signing in the summer.
