How Chelsea Have Lined Up Recently
It’s all been a tad chaotic lately. The transition from Graham Potter to Bruno Saltor to Frank Lampard saw a shift in tactics and a change in personnel. We have seen Joao Felix and Raheem Sterling start up front recently, but Conor Gallagher and Kai Havertz have also been used as an attacking duo.

The only certainty is the midfield trio of Enzo Fernandez, Mateo Kovacic and N’Golo Kante that has been utilised since the latter returned from injury. In the back line Kepa Arrizabalaga has kept his spot, but injuries and rotations have led to Thiago Silva, Marc Cucurella, Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Trevoh Chalobah, and Reece James all appear in the defence recently.
Chelsea Recent Form and Tactics
After spending much of their time under Potter utilising the 3-4-3 formation, the managerial changes have seen the Blues cycle through 4-3-3, 5-3-2 and 5-3-1-1 in recent weeks. None of these have turned around their dismal form, however.

Scoring goals still looks beyond this squad and actually winning a match will take a herculean effort no matter the formation.
Chelsea Absences to Consider
According to Premier Injuries, the injured list currently stands at five absentees. Reece James has been shut down for the season, a good decision for someone who’s dealt with issues all season. He is joined by Mason Mount, Armando Broja, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Kai Havertz.
