How Arsenal Have Lined up Recently
Mikel Arteta has settled on a 4-3-3 formation this season, with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli leading the attack. The midfield has been anchored by Thomas Partey, with Granit Xhaka and Martin Odegaard providing the creativity. Moreover, with Jesus back on the scoresheet after his long-term injury, the same personnel are expected to start in the middle of the park and up-front.

Rob Holding has performed admirably in the absence of injured Frenchman William Saliba. The predicted lineup sees him in central defence alongside Gabriel Magalhaes. Ukrainian left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko keeps his spot despite the error that cost the Gunners 2 valuable points at Anfield. In addition to this, the English duo of Ben White and Aaron Ramsdale start at right-back and goalkeeper, respectively.
Injuries to Consider
The main injury concern for the North London side is in the form of 22-year-old defender Saliba. The French international picked up a back injury in the Gunners’ loss to Sporting CP in the Europa League. Arteta said that the “exceptional” defender is not available this weekend. He said in a recent press conference: “William is still not available. He’s progressing well, and we are hopeful we’ll have him available in the next few weeks, but we’ll have to see.”

Additionally, Eddie Nketiah is fit again after his knee injury and is available for selection. The likes of Mohammed Elneny and Takehiro Tomiyasu are long-term absentees and are ruled out for this game.
