Last Word on Football puts together a Chelsea Predicted lineup as Graham Potter aims to turn around the slump against some London rivals. Tottenham Hotspur are on home turf for this one and will be battling hard to keep their spot in the top four.
Chelsea Predicted Lineup vs Tottenham in Premier League Clash
How Chelsea Have Lined Up Recently
Short absences aside the back line has been pretty set in stone recently. Kepa Arrizabalaga deputies in goals, Thiago Silva and Benoit Badiashile pair up in the middle, and Ben Chilwell and Reece James slot in out wide. That solidity may be tested with the return of Wesley Fofana who could muscle Badiashile out of the lineup or force a switch to a back five.
Enzo Fernandez and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have formed a nice partnership in defensive midfield while Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix and Noni Madueke fill in ahead of them. Kai Havertz has occupied the sole striker spot for some time now.
Chelsea Recent Form and Tactics
Despite sticking with the 4-2-3-1 setup things haven’t turned around for Potter’s side. They are without a win since January 15 when they narrowly beat Crystal Palace. With goals being a big problem you have to ask if this formation is getting the best out of the wealth of attacking talent in the squad.

Either way, it is unlikely we see a move away from this formation until the manager has confidence in a back three and a central midfield pairing who can perform.
Chelsea Absences to Consider
The injured list isn’t as deep as it once was for the Blues. Cesar Azpilicueta is the only new absentee following a concussion suffered against Southampton, he joins Edouard Mendy, Christian Pulisic, Armando Broja, and N’Golo Kante in being unavailable for this one.
