Speaking to the media after his move to the Emirates Stadium, Jorginho revealed that he had known for some time that he was no longer part of the Blues’ plans. “I had spoken to Chelsea and I knew I was no longer part of their plans,” he said. “Sometimes you must accept when you are out of a project, things come to an end.”

Despite his departure from West London, the midfielder was sought after by a number of top clubs across Europe. Ultimately, he chose to join the Gunners, citing the club’s ideas and vision as the deciding factor. “I wanted to progress in my career and the Arsenal project suits me, I loved their ideas,” he said.

Jorginho’s Achievements at Club and International Level

The Italian veteran brings a wealth of experience and success to Arsenal. He has won numerous trophies throughout his career, including the Premier League, Champions League and Europa League. In addition to this, he also won the European Championship with Italy in 2021, resulting in him finishing third in the Ballon D’Or voting after an impressive 2020-21 season.
