Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is in advanced talks to join MLS side Los Angeles FC on a short-term deal, as per Relevo journalist Matteo Moretto. The striker has been left out of the London giants’ Champions League squad and appears to have fallen out of favour, despite only joining them last year.

Chelsea Ready to Green Light Six-Month Loan Deal for Aubameyang
The 33-year-old striker is looking for regular game-time and has realised that he is unlikely to get that at Stamford Bridge – especially after they signed some quality attacking players like Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke in the January transfer window.

Moretto adds that Chelsea are even ready to cover the wages of Aubameyang during his potential loan spell with the MLS side, making it easier for him to secure the transfer. The Gabon international forward is now holding discussions with LAFC, and those talks are at an advanced stage – meaning a deal seems likely to be struck soon.
His loan deal will be a six-month one that will run until July, after which he can return to Chelsea – even though he’s likely to leave the club permanently in the summer. The deal is hinging on Aubameyang giving his final approval – with both clubs willing to get it done as long as he agrees.
Aubameyang Seemingly Set to End Difficult Chelsea Spell
The Premier League giants signed Aubameyang to improve their frontline towards the end of the summer transfer window last year – signing him on a permanent deal from Barcelona on transfer deadline day. However, he was not able to match the expectations that fans and the Chelsea management had from him – only scoring three goals in 18 appearances for them so far.

Aubameyang had a pretty good start to his career at Stamford Bridge and head coach Graham Potter even praised him as ‘perfect’ after he scored his first goal for the club against Crystal Palace earlier in the season. Things have gone downhill for him since and the 33-year-old is now having to decide whether to join the MLS side on loan or be used as a rotational option at Chelsea.
