According to Fabrizio Romano, the Pedro Porro “saga is finally over” as the full-back has signed a contract to join Tottenham Hotspur from Sporting CP.
The deal is thought to be an initial loan for £5 million with an obligation to buy in the summer for a fee in the region of £39 million. The Spaniard has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract which will see him in North London until June 2028.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the official unveiling as a Tottenham Hotspur player is imminent and that the ongoing transfer discussions have now come to a close.

The Pedro Porro Transfer Saga Is Finally Over
Tottenham Hotspur fans’ frustrations grew as this transfer saga took several unexpected U-turns, which left them on the edge of their seats about whether the deal was going to materialise.
Pedro Porro’s former club rejected an initial bid despite a medical already being booked in London. Tottenham have been relentless during their chase for Pedro Porro throughout January and have finally pushed the deal over the line.

This will be his second stint in England as he had previously played for Manchester City before joining Portuguese heavyweights Sporting CP on an initial two-year loan. He then joined the Portuguese outfit on a permanent basis last summer.
Tottenham Hotspur Adding Some Firepower to Their Ranks
Though Pedro Porro has been primarily used as a right-wing back for Sporting, his attacking threat is second to none, as he sits third for his previous team’s goals and assists tally.
Pedro Porro has registered 14 goal contributions for Sporting this campaign, and Antonio Conte will be hoping he will be bringing that threat with him as, without talisman Harry Kane, they are struggling to convert.

With Matt Doherty set to jump ship to join Atletico Madrid in Spain, a vacant hole with Pedro Porro’s name on it has opened up. His efforts at Tottenham Hotspur could help the North London side clinch a top four finish in the Premier League and Champions League football for next term.
