Liverpool are monitoring a possible future move for LASK winger Keito Nakamura, claims The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath. The Reds have already signed a new winger in Cody Gakpo from PSV in the summer, but are hoping to strengthen their squad with the talented Japanese star.

Liverpool Send Scouts to Monitor Nakamura
Jurgen Klopp is looking to improve his frontline going forward and has sent his scouts to go and watch the 22-year-old winger in action for the Austrian club. They are also monitoring his situation at the club after being impressed with his form at the domestic level this season.
However, McGrath adds that the Japanese winger is set to stay with LASK for the rest of the season and will not push for a move before the end of the January transfer window. Liverpool also face some competition for his future signing, with Brighton & Hove Albion also monitoring his progress with the Austrian side.

Nakamura was also the subject of approaches from Bundesliga side FC Augsburg as well as Ligue 1 club Reims, but he is not going to seek a move away from the Austrian side in the middle of the season.
Nakamura Enjoying Prolific Season With LASK
The 22-year-old winger is yet to make his debut for the Japan national football team, but he is making waves in Austria as part of LASK. He has been on fire this season, scoring 11 goals and registering six assists in just 18 appearances at club level this season.

Nakamura is a menacing left-winger, who has taken things to a new level this season. In 50 appearances for LASK in his career, the Japanese forward has scored 20 goals and provided seven assists – boasting a goal contribution in every two games. His impressive form for LASK has seemingly impressed Liverpool, who are now going to keep an eye on his progress before possibly eyeing a summer move for him.
